Try Grok 3 for free as xAI gears up SuperGrok subscription

xAI recently announced that Grok 3 will be temporarily available to all users for free, giving more people the opportunity to try it out. This initiative allows a wider audience to experience the platform before it becomes a paid feature.

At the same time, xAI is refining its subscription options, with a strong focus on promoting and upselling X Premium Plus. This premium plan grants users full access to all available features, positioning it as the most comprehensive package for dedicated users.

In addition to X Premium Plus, xAI has introduced a new subscription called SuperGrok. Priced at approximately $30 per month or $300 per year, SuperGrok provides access to a standalone version of the Grok application for users who do not subscribe to X Premium. The new upsell banners promoting SuperGrok are now visible on both the standalone Grok website and within the application itself. Users already have the option to purchase this subscription and unlock its full range of features.

The SuperGrok subscription primarily targets users who either do not have or do not plan to get the X Premium subscription. It offers them access to both the standalone Grok website and the Grok application, providing flexibility for users who prefer not to engage with the broader X ecosystem.

While Grok 3 is currently free, xAI has not specified how long this offering will last. Eventually, free access will end, and the platform will become available exclusively to subscribers.

There have also been discussions about Grok 3’s context window. Some xAI employees report it supports 128k tokens, while the official blog claims it can handle up to 1 million tokens. As of now, there is no clear confirmation, leaving users curious about the platform’s true capabilities.
