UPDATE: The company provided an update, stating that "Browser 10" is only a research prototype and not an actual product. It is not planned to be released to the public. More details on Reddit (while the videos below are still worth checking) 👀
As many of you know, The Browser Company is developing its new browser product, reportedly named simply “Browser.” This product is not going to be an ARC2. However, at this stage, not much is known about it beyond what has been publicly shared by the browser company.
Recently, users discovered a new download link for the beta version of a macOS application, allowing early download of the app (not available anymore as the link was removed). Currently, though, it’s not possible to access the app, as account creation requires verification. It appears that the browser is in an internal beta testing phase, likely accessible only to employees or possibly a small group of friends and family.
We have also received reports with sneak peeks of some features. These recordings seem intended for future beta testing, onboarding, or similar campaigns. The performance in these videos might not be optimal, and it’s unclear if they were taken in an earlier development stage. What’s known so far is that the new browser will feature horizontal tabs on top, similar to a classic browser, along with deep integration with LLMs.
The homepage will include pinned tabs, as well as a “prompt bar,” where users can access a dedicated prompt area. A sidebar will also be available, enabling users to switch between search and summary modes. Some demonstrations show that users will be able to draft and send emails directly from the prompt area. Searching for a specific place, for example, will reportedly navigate directly to Google Maps. There will also be options for users to pin certain pages to their home space.
These videos mostly showcase basic browser features. However, there are also hints, from public announcements, of potential voice-mode features, memory functions, and more. Though it’s still very early, even the glimpses seen in existing or known videos suggest an exciting product that many are eager to try.
Please note, that we do not currently have access to this tool. It is still uncertain if and when this beta program will be open to the public, but we will be closely monitoring any updates.
