Google seems to be working on its prompts feature, potentially gearing up this feature for release. Scheduled prompts have been spotted in development a while ago. However, recently, while still hidden under the feature flag, it finally became functional.
Users can, for instance, tap on the schedule prompt icon, and it will actually schedule the prompt itself. It is possible to access the UI to change settings like the time or the frequency of the scheduling. From there, users can also access a menu to pause or deactivate the schedule.
In the settings, there is a new option called “Prompts.” However, it is unclear yet whether this will be a toggle to activate or deactivate scheduled prompts, or if it will open a new menu with a list of existing prompts.
Interestingly, Gemini and Google in general are releasing a lot of new features and products in December. This may potentially be one of them, set to release in the upcoming weeks.
