Perplexity continues to enhance its Perplexity Payment Solution. For search results related to purchase intent, such as when you search for “Best Phones 2024,” Perplexity will now display results with shopping widgets similar to previous versions. However, instead of the old payment button, there will be a new “Buy With Pro” option. This option directs users to a page where they can fill in necessary details and make a one-click purchase using data previously specified in the settings menu.
Additionally, the general search result page will feature a “View More” button, which opens a grid view of products available for purchase. Users can quickly navigate between different options and see an aggregated overview of these products, including the option to buy them with one click. The Settings tab remains unchanged, and overall, it seems like this solution is nearing completion.
The question remains whether the technical infrastructure for processing payments is fully in place, as there may still be some aspects left to develop. However, once implemented, it will be a valuable addition to the Pro subscription, which already offers substantial value for its price. The ability to purchase products with one click, with everything managed by Perplexity, is quite advantageous.
