As we approach the end of July, OpenAI has released an update to its iOS and macOS apps in preparation for the long-awaited voice-advanced mode. While there are no major changes, a few minor UI tweaks have been introduced. Notably, the icon in the iOS app looks different, and there’s a new alpha promo screen.

On macOS, a new setting allows users to toggle the option to launch the desktop app at startup. Although the exact release date is still unclear, it’s expected to roll out to a small portion of alpha users this or next week.
