A recent thread on X by @bedros_p has revealed two new experiments in AI Test Kitchen: Aigency and Backbone. These experiments are still in their alpha stages and may not be released or could be significantly altered before their official launch.

Aigency appears to be a new interface for running Breadboards in the test kitchen. It currently seems to be a form that modifies the input given to it, invoking elements from Breadboard. The functionality is minimal at this point, with features like converting input to uppercase. Aigency's potential lies in its promise to offer a more user-friendly interface for Breadboard, possibly transforming its file-like interface into a more material design-esque form.

Backbone, on the other hand, showcases a more developed UI with straightforward navigation and interesting upcoming formats such as storyboard with caption and lookbook. The experiment uses Imagen 3 Landscape for output but currently errors out due to implementation issues. Despite these challenges, Backbone's presets offer impressive outputs, particularly in style mixing. The "Advertising" preset is highlighted, with numerous outputs available within the Backbone javascript files. However, it's noted that these outputs are from the "fast" model, which may not be as accurate, especially in rendering faces.

The discovery of these experiments provides insight into the ongoing development within AI Test Kitchen. Aigency and Backbone, while still in early stages, indicate a focus on improving user interfaces and expanding the capabilities of AI-generated content. The use of Imagen 3 Landscape in Backbone suggests a push towards more advanced image generation techniques.

Given the alpha status of these experiments, it's crucial to note that their final form, if released, may differ significantly from what is currently observed.
