Following rumors of the potential standalone Grok application, there is new evidence suggesting that a Grok web app will soon become available at grok.com. Currently, visiting the website redirects users to a “Coming Soon” page featuring a beautifully animated logo. Additionally, mentions of “Grok 2.5” were spotted in the code, although they were later removed. It remains unclear whether this refers to an upcoming iterative improvement for Grok or the December updates associated with Grok version 2.
Alongside the web app developments, the Grok app for iOS was launched in Australia on Monday. Users there can now download and use the app, which functions similarly to Grok on X but in a standalone format. The iOS app allows users to:
- Create images
- Upload images
- Search for specific information on the web
These features mirror much of what is available on X. However, there is no clear timeline for when the app will expand to other countries.
As December progresses, it seems very likely that we will see more updates coming to Grok. Let’s see what unfolds!
