Ideogram just released its new text-to-image model v2.0. Ideogram is already known for being capable of generating images with a longer text and this release just brought the quality of such generations to the next level. Previously v2 model has been in the beta-testing phase with a later expansion to creator partners.
Besides a new model, the release also accommodates a big chunk of other features like search and colour palette. I had a chance to discover all of them during the reverse engineering session earlier and later I had a chance to play with them properly during the creator preview phase.
A new model is a worthy product for content creators to check. It will enable users to generate a wider range of AI-produced content that includes more complex text blocks. I personally found the most success when specifying the Design preset as it works the best with with text.
Important to mention that in combination with the color palette feature where you can specify certain colours it works even better. It can help users produce images with a consistent style and colours which might be specifically useful for social media managers.

• Ideogram 2.0 includes five different models: General, Realistic, Design, Anime, and 3D. These models significantly affect the output and may override your prompt, so it’s worth exploring each one. The Auto mode will automatically select the most suitable model based on your prompt.
• Realistic Model: This model bridges the gap between imagination and reality, offering the highest level of photorealism possible with AI.
• Color Palette: You can now select your color palette, giving you more control over the final image. This is particularly useful for creating on-brand designs or capturing a specific mood.
• Improved Text Rendering: Ideogram 2.0 has made significant improvements in text rendering. The Design model excels at creating unique greeting cards, t-shirt designs, posters, and illustrations with longer and more accurate text.
• Search Functionality: Search is now enabled for all public Ideogram images. With over 1 billion images generated by users in the past year, you can browse through specific images and prompts for inspiration.
• Magic Prompt: An enhanced version of Magic Prompt is now available. It’s recommended to keep Magic Prompt on for most applications unless you have a very specific prompt.
• Describe Feature: This remains one of the most powerful features. Upload an image, describe it, and then re-generate it.
• Improved Upscale: The Upscale feature has been enhanced and now works better across different categories of images.
• Better Image Coherence: Expect improvements in image coherence, including more anatomically accurate human bodies, aligned eyes, and properly rendered hands.
• My Images Tab: The My Images tab makes it easier to track the images you’ve generated over time, and more organization features are coming soon.
