Recently, ChatGPT released its memory feature to all EU users and those in Korea. This rollout began slowly over the past two weeks and was finalized recently, making the feature available to the rest of the accounts. Interestingly, this occurred after Gemini’s failed attempt to introduce its similar feature, called “Saved Info.” Saved Info functions just like ChatGPT’s memory, and now, ChatGPT users can fully utilize this feature while on Gemini it was rolled back.
Additionally, the macOS app received an update that added a new option to open ChatGPT URLs directly within the app. For example, if you click on a link to a ChatGPT conversation, it will now open in the macOS app, allowing you to preview the conversation. However, to continue the conversation, you still need to open it on the web. This feature can be toggled off in the settings.
There were also a few minor UI changes, including an updated icon for voice mode and a slightly redesigned prompt shortcut.
