xAI keeps updating its web application for Grok, and recently, they introduced a new Preview feature that allows users to see the rendered HTML code. This feature works similarly to Canvas or Artifacts on other platforms. Currently, it supports only HTML formats, but it already functions well.
The Preview button appears at the top of a code block, and clicking it opens a side sheet displaying the rendered version of the code. This allows users to interact with the output directly. It’s a valuable addition, especially since Grok 3 has improved significantly for coding compared to its previous version. While xAI still has some catching up to do in this area, this feature is a step in the right direction for developers.

Another upcoming feature in development is desktop notifications for deep research tasks. If a task takes longer to complete, users will be able to close the tab or start another chat while receiving a notification once the research is finished. Since these deep research processes can take considerable time, this could be a useful enhancement for productivity.
Let’s see how these updates evolve and whether they help Grok compete more effectively in the AI space.
