Grok 2.0 to launch with Flux image generation in revamped UI on X

Grok 2.0

It appears that Grok 2.0 is moving closer to release. Recently, on the X platform (formerly Twitter), there were signs that the new home page UI for Grok 2.0 is hidden behind a feature flag. This new UI features a more refined text bar positioned in the middle of the screen and includes conversation starters highlighting different use cases. These include:

  1. Web search
  2. Searching through various hashtags on X
  3. Image generation

Interestingly, the image generation is said to be powered by an open-source model called “Flux” by Black Forest Labs.

Grok 2.0

It’s already known that the next version of Grok will likely support file uploads, adding another layer of functionality. There’s also a link to a blog post on X.AI about the Grok 2.0 release, though the post doesn’t exist yet. Despite this, it seems the release, which was promised for August, might still happen on time. The UI might be ready, but the model itself isn’t available just yet. I’m really looking forward to giving it a try when it does launch.
