Google recently shipped several significant updates to Gemini. One of the key changes is that Gemini Live is now available to users, although this feature became available on Android a few weeks ago, while it is still not yet available on iOS. Another update is related to Imagen3, which continues to roll out gradually. More users, including those with free accounts and in the EU region, are reporting access to Imagen3, whereas previously it wasn't available.

Last week, there was an attempt to release a feature called Saved Info. Many users reported seeing this option in their settings, allowing them to manually add items for Gemini to remember. However, this feature wasn’t functional, leading to errors when users tried to use it. Some even noticed that Gemini was able to remember certain things during conversations, similar to how ChatGPT’s Memory feature works. Unfortunately, the Saved Info feature was fully rolled back after a short time, though it seems likely that Google may try again to release it gradually in the future.

Interestingly, there were placeholder updates related to the Saved Info feature that remained unannounced. This sparked speculation that the release was planned but didn’t go as expected. Notably, around the same time, ChatGPT’s Memory feature became available to EU users, leading to speculation about possible connections between these releases.
