Google’s new feature, codenamed “Recall,” enables Gemini to reference past conversations and access information from them. For instance, you can ask Gemini to summarize your previous chats. After summarizing, Gemini can also provide links to your past conversations, displayed under the response, allowing users to click and open them in a new tab. This facilitates easy navigation through your chat history by simply asking Gemini, eliminating the need for manual searches. A similar feature is under development for ChatGPT, though it hasn’t been released yet. Following Google’s announcement, it appears that ChatGPT is preparing to launch a comparable feature, with new announcements indicating a potential release next year.
Rolling out starting today, you can ask Gemini to consider your past chats to craft its responses. Easily pick up where you left off or have it summarize a previous topic. You can view, edit, or delete any chats you’ve had with Gemini, and see when it’s used.
