Recently, ChatGPT introduced a new feature allowing users to share voice clips on iOS devices. So far, this feature is not available on desktop apps or on Android.

On the iOS app, when you enter the advanced voice mode, you’ll notice a share icon in the top right corner. Clicking on it captures the last 20 seconds of your conversation, bringing up a UI that lets you trim the duration of the recording. This recording is then saved locally as a video on your device. The video includes an animation of the advanced voice mode in action and a watermark indicating it was created by ChatGPT.

The video is formatted vertically to fit TikTok and Reels, suggesting this might be an interesting growth tactic for OpenAI. Right now, it’s still unclear when this feature will roll out on other platforms. It seems functional on desktop, though it needs a bit of refinement. Android support is expected to follow soon.
