ChatGPT iOS Update: Drafts feature and leaked system prompt for macOS

In the latest update of the ChatGPT iOS app, there aren’t many major new features, but OpenAI seems to be testing several small tweaks while gathering technical data to improve user experience. One notable change is an updated notice for alpha users of the advanced voice mode. This notice mentions that usage limits may change and confirms that video capabilities will be released separately at a later date.

Additionally, OpenAI is testing a new drafts feature. When you type in a text box and then switch to a different chat, your draft will now appear in a separate section in the navigation sidebar. You can also create multiple drafts.

There are also signs that support for mentions, which was previously announced, is now being tested on the iOS app, likely with a limited group of users. This functionality is currently hidden under a feature flag. The mentions feature would allow users to communicate with custom GPTs from any specific conversation.

And last but not least - OpenAI is testing a new system prompt for the ChatGPT desktop app which is focused on screen-shared context.

"You are assisting a user on the desktop"... ChatGPT is instructed to ask the user to "SHARE_YOUR_SCREEN_PLEASE" which would trigger a native pop-up. However, we haven't managed to confirm if this is working yet.

Besides that, Open AI also published an official FAQ about Advanced voice mode.

This is currently available on the iOS and Android ChatGPT apps.

System Requirements:
- Android: app version 1.2024.206 or later
- iOS: app version 1.2024.206 or later and iOS 16.4 or later
