A new microphone icon now appears in the prompt area, and when clicked for the first time, a pop-up appears explaining that users can select a language and dictate messages of up to 10 minutes. This will enable them to chat more quickly and naturally.

This feature is similar to what the ChatGPT mobile app offers and is expected to be a big enabler for many users. On Claude for mobile, it’s often simpler to dictate rather than type, especially when AI-powered dictation ensures accurate transcriptions.
It’s still unclear when this feature will be released more broadly, but for now, it’s not available to everyone.
