Anthropic continues to enhance its Projects feature for Claude AI, introducing a new capability called Harmony. This feature allows users to upload or select a local folder from their system and sync it with the knowledge base of a Claude project. Once these files are added, users can use a sync button to fetch updated content from their local copy if it has been modified. This is a significant step towards more complex utility within Claude AI projects.
Currently, the knowledge base size is limited by the model’s maximum context window. However, with an expanded context window, it would be possible to upload small coding projects or research sources. Recently, Anthropic updated the knowledge base interface to display the remaining storage capacity when files are uploaded.
In addition to Harmony, Anthropic is developing a source citations feature, likely to be previewed alongside Artifacts and LaTeX support, which are still unreleased. This feature appears to be in its early development stages. When enabled, users will see a dropdown list of citations from the knowledge base whenever information is pulled into a chat or conversation with Claude AI.
There is no current indication that Anthropic is working on web search capabilities related to source citations. For now, Claude AI clearly states it does not have internet access for each message. Overall, these enhancements will improve the feature set of Claude projects, making them more suitable for larger groups and research-oriented users. The release date for these features is still unknown.
